Domingo Mones provides professional services in taxation and financial management. Throughout the course of his career, he has acquired extensive experience focusing in revision of shareholder agreements, tax exemptions, tax audits, review and implementation of accounting procedures, review of tax credits, due diligences, and the representation before the Dominican tax and revenue agency.
Mr. Mones turned into a consultant after more than ten years of professional experience in the tax and accounting areas. He has been in charge of the tax department, as well as partner in recognized firms specialized in financial, tax, and economic advisory in the country.
He is currently a professor of tax and international standards for financial reporting at Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, as well as at Universidad APEC, at the Escuela Nacional de Finanzas (ESENFA), and at the Institute of Public Accountants of the Dominican Republic. He also lectures at corporate workshops about taxes, having had clients such as the Maersk Group, Grupo Ramos, Grupo SID, and Odebrecht.
Graduated with honors in Public Accounting from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago, Domingo Mones got a specialty in Tax Accounting from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Financial Management.
Mr. Mones has received training at the World Bank, and has also participated in seminars on international standards for financial reporting in Argentina. Likewise, he has obtained specialization in Financial Auditing from three of the largest global accounting and auditing firms.
He is a current member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of the Dominican Republic (ICPARD), institution where he has served as Technical Director.
Domingo Mones is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, being able to handle cases in both languages.
